Sales up 40% in 1 Surf City ZIP

For the 22 business days ending Oct. 16, DataQuick’s freshest homebuying stats show these trends in Surf City:

• City sales totaled 168 — that’s +14% vs. a year ago. Countywide, sales were +5% vs. a year ago in same period.

• Of the city’s 4 ZIP codes, 3 had sales gains vs. a year ago while 1 had a gain in median selling price vs. a year ago.

• 1 of Huntington Beach’s 4 ZIP codes beat the 3.6% overall performance of the countywide median for the past year.

Here’s how the latest DataQuick report breaks down Surf City ZIPs; change is vs. a year ago:
