Home sales up 23% in Surf City

For the 22 business days ending Nov. 4, DataQuick’s freshest homebuying stats show these trends in Surf City:
• City sales totaled 164 — that’s +23% vs. a year ago. Countywide, sales were +11% vs. a year ago in same period.
• Of the city’s 4 ZIP codes, 4 had sales gains vs. a year ago while 1 had a gain in median selling price vs. a year ago.
• 1 of Huntington Beach’s 4 ZIP codes beat the 3.6% overall performance of the countywide median for the past year.
